Yukine is such a good sleeper. She is already sleeping through the night. I guess she takes after her mom on this one...the Detwiller's surely know how to sleep.

I was changing her diaper this morning and she decided to poop and pee at the same time. She pooped so much that it went everywhere. I think she got a kick out of it and now she is all happy and smiley.

Omiyamairi

We took Yukine to the neighborhood shrine on Friday for a special ceremony called "Omiyamairi". This is to pray to the local god for health and happiness for Yukine. First, the priest spoke to the god and announced our presence. Then, Tetsushi, Akemi, and Yukine prayed to the god, and then I prayed to the god. Yukine was a good girl and slept through the whole thing!

At first, bath time was kind of scary, but Tetsushi has gotten used to holding her in the tub and now she enjoys having a bath.

October 27th

Yukine is either sleeping like a log or wide awake. As you see here, she is very alert and in motion. I think she was working up an appetite.
