Umbrella

It rained (just a little) so we had to try out Yukine's new umbrella.  She really loves it!  We will probably get more use out it this fall.

Yukine and Jack

Yukine loves holding hands.  She and Jack are old friends but this is the first time she convinced him to hold her hand.  It was a pretty big deal!

Yukine had so much fun at the playground with her new friend Hinata-chan!  They held hands almost the entire time.

Vegetable garden

Yukine and Tetsushi hard at work setting up the vegetable garden.  We have Japanese cucumber, Japanese eggplant, Shishito (a kind of pepper), a variety of tomatoes, and basil.  Hoping for a fruitful harvest in a few months.  I am so excited! Thanks for setting this up guys!

Backyard

The first pic is the back of our house.  We are finally getting settled in.  It is so nice to be in a house verses apartment.  Yukine loves the backyard.  There are lots of plants to inspect and flowers to smell.  The second pic os of grapes.  We have two grape vines, but I have no idea how to take care of them.  Hopefully we will be able to eat them at the end of the summer.

Pink Umbrella

Baba and Jiji sent Yukine a pink umbrella and rain boots.  Yukine has been talking about wanting a pink umbrella for months and she is so excited to finally have one.  Now we just have to wait for it to rain!
